Any civil engineering students on this board?

Yeah, but there are not too many people speaking Dutch. So I think you're not the only one who can't speak it 😉

I'm not a student anymore 🙁. But I'm a Civil Engineer <----fun stuff if you enjoy designs of varies projects. Hydrology, wastewater management, grading, drainage, utility relocation, traffic study, construction management, project management, AutoCad, Softdesk, Land Development, Structural engineering, Cost Estimate, and Etc.... <----- Know these terms and get experience in them 🙂 it'll get you more $$$$$$.

Yes out of all the engineering fields, Civil has the lowest pay ratio :|.... If i have the choice to chose another major again, civil engineering will be my last pick. 😀

I'm a Civil Engineer and happen to like it. I tried the Electrical Engineering thing is school and none of it made any practical sense so I went with Civil. Sounds like me and SCSIFreek could go into business together doing about the same kind of projects.

As for the getting more $$$ for knowing the vocabulary terms. I don't know if I'd say that's all it takes. The real trick is just to convince someone else that you know more about the terms than they do. And if you really don't know anything and convince everyone that you know everything, you're destined for management. 🙂
