Any chance of a Mac forum?

Just an idea but there seems to be a fairly good number of Mac users here.

we're working on this ... actually the difficulty is that we'd like to have one forum for mac hardware and software and it's tough to figure out where to put it since we seperated hardware and software forums

You could always make a separate "Mac" super-forum and have subforums of Mac Hardware and Mac Software.

You are making this way to complicated. Just make a Mac forum and let them post both. Traffic will dictate if there needs to be some seperation later. Oh, and don't bother to hunt down any exisiting Mac posts, just put it up under Hardware and Te... and they will figure it out.

Oh yeah, then there is that truncated catagory name thing....

I agree, i think just make a single Mac category that would encompass all mac issues - hardware, software, osx, etc...

I don't foresee the traffic being high enough to substantiate multiple Mac forums but look forward to seeing at least one

yeah aphex is right. while no one denys that there are mac users, the majority of the members aren't. a single catagory should be enough or maybe a mac catagory in hardware and software.

Scottish forums? I'd like one category for the McGregors, one for the McDermots, McQueens, McIntyre .....

I doubt whether there are enough mac folks on these forums to make it worthwhile, perhaps go with one single mac forum for all mac stuff. Combining all the mac traffic will help keep it at a reasonable level.
