Any chance in the future that we can get better search features?

Since my subscription ran out and is apparently not an option anymore, I was wondering if you were planning on doing something about the search features? Its really frustrating for a lot of us who had it with their sub and now cant use it.

This would be a great feature to have back from the subscriber only thing. I would like to see it back... just like I've said in many posts, I would still pay to use it if it were an option now...

I've said it many times before, I'll agree with you all while saying it again:

If the subscriber servers are going away, please let us search for separated words, even only in message titles (of course, full text would be nice, but I could understand that it might put too much load on the servers if everyone could do it).

I am far from the first to say it, I just thought a separate post would yield something more...

I got an idea, if it helps at all, you could possibly set a limit per person of like 5 searches per day.
Zuni and others, have you thought maybe about a semi-subscriber method? Like $2 a month or so for half the benefits but with full search or something?

Full text search is still a subscriber feature (people who paid for a subscription to the forums), but it will change in the future. No, I don't know when.... :)

A more official announcement on subscription is coming in the next few days.

No offense, but you said the same thing weeks ago (that there will be an official announcement shortly). I believe that was back in August.

Unfortunately he has no control over subscriber issues. It comes from the top. I am sure he is being as forthright as he can.

Meh, I give them the benefit of the doubt. They have nothing to gain from stringing us along.

True, he is probably just doing what the top guys told him to do, and he can't really just go against what they say either.

Thanks Zuni, we appreciate what you do for the forums, I just wish you had more to do with decisions....
