Any chance Apple ever makes a video game system?

Already happened.

Lol. The infamous Pippin. Marketed as a low cost computer. I don't think it ever even made it to Canada because I only found out about it a couple of years ago. Mac OS just isn't ideal for gaming. Neither is the iPhone/iPod Touch. I game on my Macbook but through Windows only.

God I would hope not. If 10 years from now I had to choose between the market-leader Apple gaming console and the failing PS5/XBOX4, I'd give up gaming. I'm assuming of course that Nintendo is still catering to other demographics besides mine (meaning that I don't even consider them).

I think they're testing the waters with the Touch.

But ultimately no, i dont think they will. The Wii is probably the closest thing to an Apple console we will see.

i think Apple and Nintendo would aim for the same mass-market demographic, which would mean you would stick with PS5/xbox4 niche.

now an apple vs nintendo console war would be interesting as that would put competition on both demographics with apple leveraging its i-brand, and nintendo leveraging its Wii/DS touch generation.

it'll be an overpriced console that lets you touch the screen to turn it on and off

lol. it would cost $1000 and bought only by hipsters to show off in their apartments/houses

and it'll be so user friendly that it'll play games for you the way they are meant to be played.

I've never heard of this red screen of death. It sounds pretty frightening. I wonder where you have experienced it, as no console I know of suffers from such a horrible-sounding ailment.

iFail more like, i cant see apple ever making a game system or at least ever making a competitive one. They have no experience with consoles.

Either did Microsoft lol. They still showed a bit of engineering failures with the 360.

Annoying as the RRoD is, the rest of the console is pretty much perfect.
