Any Celtic fans in the house?

Thanks for Joe Johnson.

In two games with the Suns, he's averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 32 minutes of action.

Enjoy Rodney "I wanna be like Antoine Walker and shoot 3s instead of playing in the post" Rogers.

Enjoy Tony "2 shots per minute, and damn anybody else who's wide open" Delk.

I've followed Delk since he was at Kentucky. With a decent coach (Jim O'Brien) and teamed back up with Antoine Walker, he should be OK.

UPDATE!

After 3 games with the Suns (record: 2-1) rookie Joe Johnson is averaging 16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks.

Rogers and Delk have scored a combined 5 points for the Celtics.

Really, it's to be expected. It's karmic justice, Celtic fan, for sending the human train wreck known as Rick Robey to the Suns for Dennis Johnson.

Two ironies here:

1. Both Delk ('96) and Robey ('78) played on University of Kentucky NCAA championship teams.

2. After DJ left for the Celtics, he got an NBA championship ring. :Q

Edit: Oh yeah. Delk played in the Celtics loss on Thursday, Feb 21st for 14 minutes and hit two treys. Rogers DNP. The Celtics haven't played since.

The Celtics lost to Houston on Saturday.

Rogers and Delk stats with Boston according to ESPN . . .

Delk, 1 game, 23 minutes, 3 points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3FG), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 TO.

Rogers, 1 game, 6 minutes, 2 points (1-2 FG), 1 rebound, 2 TO.

I didnt really like the deal that much. the problem was that johnson is the same type of player as pierce and walker. He really didnt get to play that much, and when he did play he mostly just passed it off to pierce or walker. He showed some big potential at the begining of the season but then he kind of hit the rookie wall. im not sure how delk and rogers are going to be any different. what the celts really need is a capable center, but i guess most teams need the same.

im not surprised johnson is doing well. he's a pretty good player. all he was lacking was some confidence and im sure its much easier to feel confident about your game when the rest of your brick laying team sucks. 😉
