I ask as I saw a very clever device to shut off the oil leak in the gulf. The investor were on TV, but stated that although they had submitted their thought, there was something like 30 people checking all submissions which are apparently in the thousands.

It doesn't make them bad people. Of course if they were the ones pressuring the contractors to violate safety for savings... then flog them.

But really, I don't think if there were they would step forward. People would run them off regardless of their role in the company.

I thought it was some kind of a "personals" request that went here instead of the L&R forum. :sneaky:

We do have a a number of engineers in other parts of AT, some may work for BP. A couple guys that participated in previous threads are in the industry but not part of BP. They had some great posts when the story broke.

I would be interested in a technical discussion of how to approach the mass of oil that is now in the Gulf as it is a pressing issue. But P&N, and even AT with the focus on IT, is unlikely to be the best place for it, though the discussion would be lively if someone knowledgeable would jump in.
