Any BIOS repositories on the net?

I've run across a couple of independent sources of various older driver software, but Google didn't turn up anything that looked like a useful archive of of MB BIOSes (there was a place with a lot of hits that looks like a front for poronography, not really a useful site for business such as getting BIOS files). According to an older MB comparison chart that Gigabyte *used* to have on their site, the Rev 1.0 topped out with the XP 2100 Palomino cpu.

But the BIOS now in this one (August, 2001) treats the XP 2100 as if it was a Thunderbird 1300.

Anyone got some (one, even) URL's?

Another thought, then:

I just might've collected the very file I need now, before I needed it (an old Thunderbird cpu has been in this one for three years). But with the cryptic naming systems used, I can't do a search in my old files unless/ until I have such a name.

So, maybe you don't know where anyone collects such files, but you did save the name of a BIOS update you used when you had a ZXE of your own?

C'mon, you mentioned it in your will or somewhere semi-permanent, right?

This sucks... I have one of those boards, and did keep the BIOS updated to a certain point, but then quit as there were no problems that needed fixing. Unfortunately, there's no way that I'd have the files around any more. :(

Well, doggone! I thought I'd been all over their web site. I remembered a list like this new one, but could only find a page with a singleton BIOS, the "FB" for Rev 2.1 .. THANKS!

Blame the crappy website... The page you saw has a tiny little miniscule hardly noticeable small "more" link down in the bottom corner. ;)

I was getting grumpy about the time that I bumped my message; thinking I'd do better with a cooler-running cpu of about the same speed as the old TBird, and at the same time thinking I do have a Biostar MB just waiting its chance to replace the old soldier (the hard drive acted goofy a few months back, and I saw that Biostar going for peanuts in an eBay auction) -- but the MB was fine, and the 'Bird's just been running hot all its life.

This summer, the room AC in here is needing some service, and that hot T-Bird was just a little more than it could stand (it has always idled in the 50's, and run 57-59 when working). I've had that 2100 on hand for several months for just this upgrade. The 2100 runs only two degrees warmer than the system itself, according to MBM 5, it's 41 and 43 right now in there.

Thanks again!
