Any Biometric Locker Locks?

The combination lock I use at the gym is starting to get on my nerves, so I figured there had to be some kind of biometric lock model that could be used for lockers, but couldn't find any online. Someone please try to sniff one out for me and post where to buy it if they actually exist, but it doesn't look good.

They should make one that requires a boner.

Have fun carrying your clothes around! :p

That just sounds like trouble...and expensive as hell.

You need some sort of embedded firmware to setup and store the print. Then you'd need a battery and a motor of sorts to actually operate the locking mechanism for you once it authenticates.

Somethings just don't need to be overcomplicated like that.

Bolt cutters work on any lock...

lol good point, maybe if it was discrete or had a false keyhole to throw people off then, just have to be careful who you open it around. My gym is on a Navy base anyway so I trust the people around me for the most part.

I was gonna say something to that effect, but with cutters you kinda give yourself away as to what you're doing, using smaller tools for copying fingerprints probably wouldn't raise a flag to anyone. Though with cutters you can get the job done quicker obviously.

or smudge it when you are done, that'd work...funny thing is I saw it in a Bourne movie, and in Burn Notice ^_6.

Didn't mythbusters circumvent the press type bio locks easily? The ones you swipe are much better IMO since it's a scanner and there is no fingerprint.

Yeah if the loop is covered or it's in a job box that hides it. If the loop is where it can get in the leverage section of the cutters it's vulnerable given good muscle!

No it's not but it becomes annoying when the combination wheel gets stuck at some point everytime I turn it either CW or CCW, hence the lock "starting to get on my nerves". Not to mention the numbers are suppose to light up when you turn it but that only seems to happen once in a blue moon.

Get a new, better combination lock?

I used the same one from junior high all the way through highschool (6 years). Never gave me a problem. 35, 7, 22...

most people fortunately are idiots that go for the lock itself.

More often the hinges or latch are usually the weak link.

Also more than often and locker can be pushed in from the top or bottom. They are not meant for absolute security being they are usually out in the open.
