Any bass fisherman here?

ya, i like to bass fish.

out of a float tube, with either spinners, or plastics.

spinners slow at surface, and plastics texas rig.

top waters are fun too... slow twitch (30 sec intervals)

I like casting crank baits like the Bomber Model A around wing dams. I catch largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, and more. It's great. I'm more of a walleye fisherman than a bass fisherman, but when the walleye's aren't biting during the summer, I go flippin sometimes, and use spinners and buzz baits too. I do pretty much everything.

I used to fish for bass all the time back in Mo. and Ind.
I mostly fish for trout now though (in Oregon)

For bass though, rebel rappala, super duper, and spinners always worked best for me. Hulla poppers were good in the late afternoon and early mornings.
I once caught a 21" inch large mouth and a 6" large mouth on the same rebel. I figure the 21" was trying to eat the 6" and caught the rear hook.

<< Was wondering how many here fish and what their most favorite lure is and what color? Also how you fish the lure. >>

up here in New England the largemouth don't get very big but they still make for excellent sport, a 6 inch grape worm.
is my favorite lure.

Well I fish for anything that bites but I mainly go after bass. I like to catfish from time to time but I go to pay lakes for that though. Does anyone have any good dough ball recipes or any good catfishing tips for pay lakes?

Well I never did much catfishing (To Boreing, I like action so I always use lures).
But the few time I did try catfishing, stinkbait (blood bait) worked OK.

I 2nd that jean, live sandworms, or mackeral for live bait. My best lure is a really old Silver Tube, w/some treble hooks and fake fins on it (supposed to be a fake mackeral) that my Dad's brother made like 50 years ago. EVERYONE laughs at it when I break it out, but over the years that thing has caught more fish than all of us put together!
Gets me quite a few too!

I like the repala(sp) or depending on season different plastic baits.
For the repala I like the dark back and gold bottom, change the hooks though, for the worms/grubs the color is dependant on the season and water color.
I fish the repala by jerking twitch then letting sit. By no means am I a good fisherman, I love rock fish though. Only largemouth when the stripers stop.
