I doubt I would get any answers, but oh well here goes nothing 🙂
so I got this vintage reciever for my headphones from ebay a long while back and had my friend hold onto it for few years. now that i came back and settled down, I told him I would be taking them off his hands sometime soon.
the reciever in question is an american classic from 1964, the Fisher 400. the only problem is this beauty is that it is in dire need of restoration/cleanup/upgrade(damn those sellenium rectifiers) to function in all its glory.
there are some internet places like bizzybee and fisherdoctor; however they are too well known to general public and thus real expensive, long turnaround time, have to wait in a line, and then there is this whole slew of trouble about shipping - this thing is fairly heavy, weighing nearly 50lbs.
I would highly appreciate if you would share your experience or knowledge on places to turn to for audio repair in Atlanta area 😀
EDIT : while you at it, pls let me know if there are any local places to have monitors fixed 😀 thx!
