I'm planning on heading to DC next weekend and although I will have a car, I'm also staying around a half mile from the White House. Can I drive myself around town and find places to park easily? Or should I try to buy some sort of Metro pass?

Just wondering what recommendations you all could make as I have only two days to do some sight seeing / photography. Just wondering what I should try to visit while I'm there. I think I'm going to skip the museums for now as I don't think there would be enough time.

Thanks! 🙂

metro-bus?

really though, metro is all you need if you don't mind a little walking

i agree with using the metro as your main means of transportation. when i lived there i rarely drove. having said that, i've seen some people riding segways so you might be able to rent them somewhere or do a segway tour.

as far as metro goes, you can buy a ticket or pay $5 for a card and load $ onto them.
