You would have to break some bridges on an XP1800 to get multipliers higher than x12.5.
An easier though more expensive option would be to use the XP2100 which starts off at x13

Nice overclock for a modest voltage:) ,high 50's is getting somewhat on the high side for cpu temps but they vary from mbrd to mbrd so its hard to be sure.
What is your case temps?

So, I would need to Blow the 2nd, 4th, and 5th bridges on an the L3 of an 1800 with a 9volt battery and connect the 1st and second to get XP 2600 then?? Sounds do-able..


Where can I get 1800DL3TC JIUHB (week 308 or higher?)?? newegg lists AXDA1800DL3TC them but is that what they are really shipping?? Would like to try and get away with stock voltage or maybe just have to mod it to 1.7 at the highest...

they really are shipping DLT3C's

i got a 0304 from them 1800+ B

really haven't played with it too much... as i will after graduation and finals...

Cool! I had read that DL3TC's before week 308 were A's.. I will order a couple and try for some cheap MP 2600+ lovin!

The earliest DLT3C B I had seen up to last week was a 0307 1700+ but yeah... they've had this DLT3C B's since at least 0304

mine is the earliest production week DLT3C B i've seen :)

Thanks for the help! Just ordered two AXDA1800DLT3C from newegg..... I hope that's what I get and they can do SMP and 2.1Ghz !!! (boy not asking for much am I :p )

i ordered OEM, the other person ordered retail :)

i got one, im just having problems overclocking.. dont want to go past 2.3ghz for me....
although this isnt bad considering its a 1.467ghz cpu i guess :D

Got 2.2 GHz today, still at 1.65. Board/CPU temps running 24C/37C idle. I want to keep the volts down during the summer for heat reasons so I'm just going to push 1.65 as much as possible for now. Not bad so far. More testing...

the abit nf7-s reads temps on average of 8-10 high...

it reports it's 50C's right now

but in actuality it is only 40C's... not bad for 1.74 volts and 2.42 ghz :)

Have you tried assigning the sensors to your motherboard? Like Sensor1 ->Winbond1, Sensor2 -> Winbond2

i haven't done it myself but most of the boards i've seen where people have actually taken a temp probe and put it on top of the die and read the temp read out from something like digidoc have said that compared to hardware doc it reads about 10C's too high...

so whatever temp you read on your abit, subtract off about 8 to 10 and that is the actual

hmm... not sure about case temp... my case temp reads 30C's... but 30C = 84F which seems a little warm for a case but... it may be possible... i dunno too much about case temp but for sure the cpu temp is read high :)

shim, one last thing, on a slk800, whats the MAX i should go for cpu voltage and what are good temps for loaded and unloaded cpu? thanx

i never pay attention to unload temp cuz my cpu runs 24/7 seti@home so it's always at load

voltage depends on high your temps are...

with the slk 800 i never went above 58C's or 48C actual... but there's room for more!

it's all up to you and what you're comfortable with..

I have an SLK-800 with a 52 CFM 80mm Sunon fan and AS3. I also have a 120mm intake fan on the side of the case blowing fresh air directly onto the board and CPU, which seems to make a big difference. I'm getting up to about 42-45C loaded. Ok, time for another MHz bump :)

Sensor 1:Winbond 2(CPU)
Sensor 2:Winbond 1(Case temp)
