Any AT'ers with the XP 1700+/1800+ T-Bred B's yet?

w00pdee do! I just bought a retail xp 1700+ (hopefully my request of 0310 WPMW went through to PCSS). I'll be waiting for it....drooling 😛

I ordered from PCsupplysource last week and I got the 0310 WPMW from the retail box version. Much much cheaper than ExcaliberPC for $69 shipped!!

I didn't even ask for the stepping cos I don't know that I could do that!

Well I'll try out this little guy after my finals next weekend. Wooohooo!!

Hey shut up 😉 At least I don't need to spend more than $50 for a SLK-800!
A friend told me that you wouldn't be able to find anymore 1700+ in m'sia? how true is that? Oh BTW..do us all a favor by getting those 1800+ DLT3Cs any see how they perform 🙂

edit: misquoted

i took the gamble and ordered an 1800+ OEM from newegg.. i'm hoping it's a B .. if not othen oh well!

someone else got one from newegg but they ordered retail...

/me crosses fingers

in low yat, that is
it's the most searched for chip there now
luckily i got it early😉
too poor to get one(1800+).............saving for water cooling now.......

Here's my contribution to this thread...😀

Tested Prime95 Torture Test stable for 48 hours. The system is very quiet.

Enermax 431W (EG451P-V)

ShimM!! You just bought a(nother) 1700+ a few weeks ago and now youre buying a(nother) new one?? Man I wish I had that kind of money to just throw around...(I'm 16...living in the US..........................🙁 ) Well...looks like it overclocked pretty nicely

No it doesn't ,neither does the KT266a,& they'll never get near to 200 MHz ,166MHz+ if your lucky😛

Peridium
Damn you've got a good cpu there!🙂

OK I broke down and bought some Geil (how exactly is that pronounced? guile, gale?) PC3500 dual channel RAM (1GB from newegg). My 8RDA+ that was RMA should arrive around the same time so I can test my 1800+ next week. I've only got stock cooling right now b/c I'm waiting for the Aero 7+, which is annoying.

Thanks Assimilator1...🙂

I think it might make it to 2.5GHz...maybe I'll do some more testing when the A/C is on. It would probably clock higher if I used a 92mm Vantec Tornado fan, but I probably couldn't stand the noise. 119CFM sure sounds nice...but 56dBA doesn't...😉 Does anybody actually use a Tornado or Delta fan regularly in their computer?

Hey Shimmishim,
Have you pushed your new 0310XPMW CPU yet? What kind of cooling are you using on it right now? Are you using watercooling or air cooling on it for testing?

I have another 1700+ that I could do some testing on...maybe I'll post results for that later on if I got the time.

Here are the codes for it:
AXDA1700DLT3C
JIUHB0308XPMW
9742597250168

You guys think I should bother testing it in the same setup? The CPU is in another computer...

0310xpmw tested @ 2.2 ghz @ 1.6 volts (1.55 actual) abit undervolts

prime stable for 6+ hours 🙂

i'll push it some more as i walk out the door to go study 🙂

maybe 2.3 @ 1.65 ? i'll give it a go!

My system runs great at 215x11=2365 @ 1.7v but I wonder if there is a better combination. Would it be better to go to 220fsb and lower the multiplier? Also, why is it that my 10.5 multiplier on the 8RDA+ does not work? I can not get the computer to boot correctly at that multiplier.

I finally ordered my NF7-S v2.0 from excaliber along with 1 x OCZ PC-3200EL Dual-Channel 512mb (2x256mb).....can't wait to get my AXDA1700DUT3C JIUHB0311XPMW cranked up....I'll post when I get the thing together.....🙂 btw this thread rocks...

still priming away @ 2.3 ghz with 1.65 (1.6 actual) volts

4+ hours so far and no error yet 🙂

wow... this maybe the magic chip...

too bad i have an 1800+ on the way 🙂

wow, that's nice
i'm ready for a official 1800+ thread with 1000 posts in it😉

yeah... that'll be fun bgeh 🙂

there have been posts about 1800+'s but not a REALLy long one yet...

we'll see if i can get a B and get it started as well 🙂

i just picked up an 1800+ t-bred b from fry's
it topped out at 2.1ghz nomatter how much voltage i gave it
so i settled at that with the lowest voltage i could get it stable at (1.74v)
it was an 0251 tho
which was the exact same week and stepping one of my 1700+'s had
the 1700+ clocked at over 2.2 tho
ohh well

too bad they were out of oem or even retail 1700+ chips
they were even out of 1800+ oem's

i should just bought online but i didn't want to wait

wow, this chip is beastly! 🙂

2.4 anyone? 🙂

maybe i should also try dropping my voltages too. temps are still to high for my liking

gplracer,
Of course a higher FSB would be faster, as long as you have the memory to handle the high FSB speed synchronously...

Looking good there Shimmishim! 😎
What kind of cooling you using on it right now?
