...any Asians or Brits in these forums?

Tea. I'm a fervent coffee drinker but have recently discovered the sweet lurings of a good hot tea (call me sissy but I can't deny it 😛). Not to mention it's actually good for you. And as I understand it, I don't think it's a stereotype to look toward China, Japan, or Britain for the best. American-style Lipton bags taste like the the equivalent of "Folgers".

Anyway, I'm looking for an online vendor selling good teas. Green, black, white, herbal...all of it sounds good.

Thanks. Cheerio.

Online vendors? You lazy son of a bitch, get out to the store and buy it.

hehe...I know this is weird, but if you can track down the episode, Alton Brown had a whole show dedicated to tea on his show, Good Eats. Very informative, both on how to pick out what to buy and how to "cook" it.

Other than that, I'm sure it's nothing you can't find in a book.

The reason I'm asking is because there are no specialty stores around where I live. I'm looking for the *good* stuff, you know? Loose leaf estate-grown type stuff. I probably won't taste the difference, but who's to know?

I like both tea and coffee. Tea will stain your teeth faster and more than coffee will.

My mom goes to chinatown and buys tea there. It's all good to me.

99 Ranch (or Ranch 99 to those weird people in Northern California) has the stuff. Individual tea bags are quite cheap, so you can try out their entire section for some mere pocket change.

US euro mutt here, I go to the local Asian markets for my tea.

I make iced tea with it, but it's damn good iced tea, when we eat out & the kids order iced tea, they always comment, dad, your tea is a lot better.

Currently I like a mix of black, green & a spiced tea (just a hint of the spiced to give it some body)
