I found out AE through an Opeth concert 2 years ago. I was astonished at their absolutely skillful display and showmanship, I instantly fell in love with them!!!

WTF, none in Boston? I have to drive all the way to NYC... gahh!

Rise of the Tyrant was released last September. Been religiously listening to them ever since.

Interesting, I'll have a look into it.

Their CDs are good, the ones I have w/ angela and the one before her but their live show is 100x what the CDs are.

Vultures is my favorite song on their new album. Unique opening, stomach churning beginning, then catchy-ass chorus hook followed by the absolute annihilation of double-pedal climax with the satisfying solo. (starts from 4:55 mark) Pure fvcking ownage. The best youtube comes up with.

I was a fan since 'Black Earth' and the demo that had Bill Steer from Carcass on guitar. I lost interest when they got a blonde ape for a singer hehe. I listen to Hearse and Nonexist for a fix now.

Really I appreciate both. Angela's growl is very refreshing to my ears, much better than hearing the typical lower-key male growling.

When I first heard "Wages of Sin" I was impressed. But then for some reason the pitch of her voice drove me nuts, and then I started reading interviews where she was really cocky and compared herself to some death/thrash legends which I thought was ridiculous. And she always seems to post messages on the band forum, or used to, where she would just basically say "I don't pay attention to the haters" right after someone would talk about her. Must have had ESP or something. But it's just a personal preference and I am not saying she isn't capable.
