Any advice on a good replacement fan for the chipset on an Abit NF7-S?

Uh, yeah. I think deathkoba is recommending a passive Zalman heatsink, which I would second.

Like one of these? Is getting the existing HSF off easy? I see a couple of screws, but wasn't sure if it was epoxyed on or anything. Thanks, BTW. This will work well, because my case already has excellent airflow.

I cut up stock heat sinks in 4. got all sorts of passive cooling.

You can spend $8 for zalmans at newegg.

You are all correct. Passive Zalman. Or, if you have room, use one of their new CNPS7700cu HSF. You will be the only guy with a 120mm fan on your chipset

You'll have to take the motherboard out of the case, but otherwise it's just pop out two pushpins and follow normal heatsink replacement procedure (clean old paste, apply new paste, install new HS).
