See title...

I've been wanting to get exactly a AMD Chipset DDR Motherboard, but all of the boards I have seen use the 686B Via Southbridge, even if they come with the AMD Northbridge, any help?

People are even talking about a 686B recall, so I think I'd like to wait to buy components for this next system...

BTW- AMD Chip pricecuts on the 30th...
Wait just a little bit to buy if you can.

I read somewhere that because AMD's 766 Southbridge did not support ATA100, DDR mobo mfrs decided to go with a 'bastardized' AMD760 chipset (i.e., AMD761-VIA686B).
