AntiVirus solutions for a Windows Server

Yes I've read the security thread. Yes it only has ClamAV listed as the only app that runs on servers that is free. But I find that hard to swallow.

Basically, I run a file/web/exchange server that I just want to be as happily secure as possible. I am not too terribly concerned with scanning the message store, because after all, that's what the client computer's antivirus is there for. Are there any free AV apps that will run on Win2K3 and provide realtime protection on the file system? That's about the only thing that I'm lacking at the moment.

I said that it is the only freeware antivirus that can legally be used by businesses. Not that it is the only one that can run on windows server 2003.

Yes, there is an open source antivirus product available on Sourceforge, Clam offers real time scanning only for Outlook, but it does have autoupdates and scheduled scans. Its detection rate, from what i have seen, is not that great, but do see the detection rate tests linked above.

I said that is the only free antivirus that can legally be used by a for profit organization (business), not that it is the only free antivirus that will run on windows server 2003.

So can you clarify what FREE AV software out there can be run on a private home server that isn't a business environment? As I said, I'm looking for an AV scanner that provides realtime file system protection and will INSTALL on Win2K3. If it can protect Exchange mailboxes at the same time, great, if not *shrug*. I know most of the AV scanners simply refuse to install on Win2K3.

After emailing Comodo about their AVS product - on a whim actually since they seem to be providing free security software for pretty much all walks of life now, they provided me a link to their Comodo AV Server product which is in beta at the moment. I may actually try that, though in the AV tests Comodo's AV products didn't fare that well to date.
