Antivirus for Netbook

Howdy,

I think my father-in-law will be buying an ASUS Eee PC 1001P. I need recommendations for antivirus for it.

I've used Eset on other laptops with good success, but don't know if it will work (i.e. not take up too many resources) on a netbook.

Avira free is my standard recommendation for any machine. It's light, and it works great.

Sunbelt's vipre (4.0) has been running pretty well on my newest eeepc.

I'd also recommend Avira

With regard to AntiVirus Eset's NOD32 if fine on a Notebook as well as Kaspersky's, both ran very well on a T7700 based Laptop with an unnoticeable effect on performance (Unless doing a Scan).
