I think Webroot Spysweeper or something like that.

Between the three of those... you'll be fine.

Get Spybot S&D and then set Tea Timer. Everything that tries to install on your computer will then have to get your approval. For extra protection I installed Spyware Blaster and Spy Guard from Java Cool. For those hard to remove hijackers, download Hijackthis.

Hmm, this is a question about software, I wonder if there are any threads answering this question in the Software forum? Nah, probably not.

Is this really "General Hardware"? I think there is Forum topic for software... Holy Crap! It's even called "Software". I would be willing to bet that a quick search for "spyware" in that forum would most likely yield the results you are looking for.

I use FireFox, IE, and Netscape. However, someone else uses my PC and they go to these goofy sites with all this spy crap. I've had Spyware so bad that it crippled my computer so that I couldn't even log on. Tea Timer is awesome. Seconldy, it's supported. I'm sick of getting this software that doesn't update anymore because the developer went belly up. Ad Aware and Spybot are the strongest.

Set boot password and login password. Tell people to buy their own computer.

i run occasional adaware SE scans.. but the best way to stay spyware-free is to not to look at pr0n, and not to download toolbars & emoticons or yeh, use a different browser :p, i still use IE thoguh for some reason, sometimes opera too.
