I posted this same post in "hot deals" but i thought it could be of some use to people here looking for a spam tool. Go to the original post at:

Here goes:

Hi everyone, i am so sick of spam. I have accounts that i get 100+ spam a day on. I end up not using the account anymore and missing important emails. Well i decided i needed a very good antispam tool. I tried Mcafee spamkiller 6 because i got it for free when i bought their antivirus product. Well let me tell you.....IT ROYALLY SUCKS!!!!! The setup is overly complicated (im not a dumb computer user im a programer). There is no way a general user would be able to figure it out. They put a "junk" and "not junk" type buttons in outlook on the toolbar. Well i got errors when i tried to add emails to the junk list. I would tell me to try to reassocaite the outlook account with spamkiller. Well, i went to mcafee's support forums......and asked them about the problem. I have the latest version 6 and they pretty much told me it hasn't been working since version 5 but the in the next version of spamkiller should fix it. I was like OMG, thats one of the main functionality that is in any spamkiller and they released two versions of thier product with it not working? Good quality control huh? Makes me seriously consider whether i will ever purchase any mcafee product again. Oh ya good luck with the hotmail integration too . You can recieve email but they want you to set your hotmail accounts up as pop3 accounts and like them to spamkiller.....and i was like. Recieving mail is just fine but the manual tells you to enter your smtp address for hotmail for outgoing. I was like what the heck, hotmail doesn't have smtp, its web based. Again, i asked the forums support and they told me to enter the smtp address for hotmail. See why i got fed up with it. .

Anyways, i went looking for a good antispam product. I read reviews and this MailFrontier Desktop was suppose to be excellent. I downloaded the trial and it was 19.99 (special) on thier main page. I have tried it now for 15 days and LOVE it. I decided to buy it but today i go to buy it and its now 29.95 . I wanted it for the special price. I email customer support and tell them id love to purchase the product for 19.99 but i don't htink i want to pay almost 30.00 for it. She emails me back and said that was a promotional price but then she tells me that there is a page off the main page where it is still 19.99. They answered my email with an hour....excellent people it seems. She even showed me where i could get it cheaper. I couldn't be any happier with this company. Anyways i thought i would clue everyone else where they can get the discount price:

Anyways like i said this is an excellent antispam product. Every feature you would think about is in this product like challege/response. Only thing is it only works with outlook & outlook express. So people who are using thunderbird or any other email client are out of luck unforunatly. Doesn't bother me because i use outlook 2003. Anyways if you use another email client i would look towards Norton AntiSpam 2005. Just steer clear of mcafee antispam.
