And who said attacks on israel does not foster hatred against jews in general?

French police on Friday asked local Jewish leaders to conclude Saturday morning prayers earlier than usual due to a mass protest against Israel scheduled to take place in Paris that same day.

Protest marches will also be held throughout the French capital, even in the city's Jewish neighborhoods.

Fearing clashes between protesters and Jewish worshipers leaving the synagogue after the prayers, police asked the Jewish leaders to tell their congregants to return to their homes after praying and avoid the streets until the demonstrations end.

jews are leaving sweden and norway, and french jews can't even wear their kippahs in public.

How can Europe demand justice when they can't even get over their historic bigotry against jews and religious minorities?

like to see the left rationalize this

Your irrational hate of "the left" clouds your judgement
And his irrational insistence on Jewish exceptionalism does too, deluding him into beliving Jews should get some special exemption from France's prohibitions on religious attire and such.

Considering that Sweden's 'left' is to any American's far left, and Sweden's right to their left, this will probably be a meaningless observation but Sweden has many more people of the Muslim faith than jews, and political correctednes seems to mean not upsetting angry arabs, essentially. And the left..well, they want to open the borders completely and disrupt the Swedish Democrats (who wish to cut money spent on immigrants by 90% or so) every public speech/meeting. The borders are already rather open, the chief problem is segregation. 'Let them live where they want' the left cries..well, that works so well. They don't clump together at all, which absolutely doesn't hinder integration.

And 'cultural enrichement' ...argh, nonsense word. Though I can sympathize with the wish to allow people with corrupt governments and starving conditions a better life. It's just that were went our the value of our own culture, or even genes*? 'What do you mean, 'our own'?? That's racist!!'

*Dangerous thoughts, I know. And even if descendants of immigrants from the middle east made up 90% of the population of Sweden there would by the logic of traits still be some with pale hair/skin/eyes. But..pshycologists will agree that history is important to a human being. A sense of belonging. And on a primitive level looks are too. And I still get annoyed when exchange students or tourists from Japan/China exclaim "I didn't realize there were so many foreigners here!". Because gaijin are gaijin in Japan, and because I realize my own mentality isn't much better.

Yeah, way to go off on a tangent.

The rational line of thought is really that an ever increasing globalization means that old roles will eventually lose their values. Physical as well as mental. People will still group up for some reason though, they always do.

hey OP, are you American? Have you been living under a rock? Do you not understand European history regarding the Jews? OK, free history lesson for you. Europe has never embraced the Jewish screws like America has. Why did you think after WW2, Europe as a whole decided to give land to the Jews? So that they can be ridded of these pesky blood sucking vermits! duh!

On the surface, if you ask a typical European about Hitler and the Holocaust, they'll say the typically pc thing like "oh yeah it's bad". But deep inside they couldn't be happier.

You post about anti-semetism in Europe as if you had discovered something new, or like you just got laid and need to discuss about it with your buddies.

If you love Jews, I suggest you go to Israel and mingle with them wart noses.

Just so you understsand, lots of liberals in Europe hate jews. Being liberal does not mean embracing bloodsuckers.

How about a month off for your you Racist diatribe

As IHV correctly notes, antisemitism is in fact rising in Europe, and in terms of IHV saying,
"like to see the left rationalize this", this little leftist sadly has to agree that IHV is partially correct, it stinks, and I will do nothing but condemn that kind of guilt by religious association antisemitism against foreign nationals in other countries far away from Israel itself.

But in Israel, it becomes a weird question, after all, the Palestinians are a Semitic people also. At the end of the day, we are all human beings, why should religious choice in any way modify equal human rights for all?

I can't believe people can't see through the purpose of the "aid flotilla." It was a masked attempt to make the Israelis kill some "peace activists" in defense of their sovereignty.

Oh, and Europe sucks.

Edit:

5150Joker, it means that anything Lemon Law says can't be taken seriously because he is so biased. Hell, he probably defends Hamas because those terrorists are "fighting back for the Palestinians."

You confuse "antisemitism" with "disagreeing with Israel".

Common mistake it seems.

I didn't know Israel's sovereignty extended to international waters. Nor did I know it meant attacking aid ships.

Defending a nation's sovereignty means intercepting transgressions before they get to your country. Israel controls Gaza. The aid ships were carrying supplies that the Israelis had deemed illegal. Would it be much better if the commandos boarded when the ships had come into port? People would still be crying bloody murder.

It wasn't an "attack" by an stretch of the imagination. The commandos' primary weapons were paintball guns. PAINTBALL GUNS. You do not give paintball guns to soldiers who are supposed to be killing people. They had to use their sidearms when the "peace activists" attacked them with deadly weapons. The commandos were not there to hurt people - they were there to talk to the commander of the vessel and the leaders of the activists and to check the cargo.

It was a poorly executed mission; no one disputes that. But it would be far worse politically if the ship had to be greeted by a full military convoy to keep the activists under control, and then shit went down. Many more lives would have been lost if, when the activists got to Gaza and were not allowed to bring the supplies, decided to attack Israeli soldiers and there was a massacre.

And I'm not saying that every single one of the activists was an uproar-provoking violent dickhead. But quite a few obviously were, and some of them obviously were not afraid to die when there was no need for it. It has been found that people on the boat had Al-Qaeda ties, and I don't doubt that some of them planned to be martyrs in order to make Israel look bad, lift the blockade, and then get shot at again by missiles concealed on ships brought to Hamas.

Hahah, victim soldiers. Sure, they only repelled down onto a ship that wasn't theirs, shot people with paintball guns, but they are the true victims here. They were a hostile force boarding a ship that wasn't theirs, they were there to hurt and intimidate people, and they got their wish, with a little extra bloodshed on the side.

LOL! They 'made' them kill the activists. Is that what you say when you beat your wife and kids? "Now look what you made me do!"

LOL pretty much what he's saying. Those poor commandos, they were attacked because they raided an aid ship in international waters while firing paintballs at them. And as far as the passengers knew, it could've been live ammo and they had to defend themeselves. Israel needs to be brought to justice. I think as the US economy continues to deteriorate and it's economic influence becomes limited, Israel will find itself isolated and surrounded by world powers that don't care for it (read: China). Let's see them try to set up synagogues in China and integrate (aka take over) into their political system.. :D The old tired antisemitism card won't work there.

Definitely. And from all directions.
Yeah, and then there are the ones who confuse "the mostly WASP establishment class which includes some 'white' Catholics and Jews and a sprinkling of others" with "the Jews" too, like shangshang got himself vacationed for.

And just for the record; I'm pretty much all WASP myself, asside from 1/16 Cherokee.

I hate my fucking neighbor.

We had a rabid dog run through the neighborhood a few years ago. The frothy pooch apparently needed a break from all the growling and frothing--you know, the 'ol number deuce. Well, the little shit scares away all the kids, drools his way up the street, and squeezes out a steamer in the neighbor's rose bushes on the right side of his property, near the fence. Animal control was on the way, so they picked him up there, mid-pinch.

It's been a year from that day, and within a week of the incident the neighbor put bright-orange road cones 3 feet past the sidewalk and into the road. He refuses to let animal or man near his fucking yard. I see him every night when I get home from work sitting on his porch, garden-hose in one hand, bitten fingernails and bloody cuticles on the other. At first we were concerned neighbors. We called the town, and they had a social worker try and visit him. I don't have to tell you how that went, as the poor sap even hoses down the freaking mailman before he can get to the mailbox. We've been holding on to the letters and packages, and have been handing them off to Janet (the wife) when she leaves "the perimeter" to run errands.

Before he had contractors build a taller and solid fence, he would hose down his next-door neighbor's cat, and even the kids, if anything got within 3 feet of THEIR side of the fence. I'm just glad that Bruce's kids are so chill that they didn't have their dad do any serious ass-whooping. The whole thing ended with a "what the fuck are you doing?" and the fence went up two days later.

I guess I really don't hate my crazy neighbor. He sort of livens up the neighborhood, I guess. Some of my friends like to come over and watch him from the balcony. I do feel very sorry for the wife.

attacking jews in public is "disagreeing with israel?"

i disagree with a lot of what the muslim world does, but im not gonna take out my anger on fellow American muslims.

i guess the same doesn't apply to jews.

maybe because we dont fly planes into buildings or murder our critics.
