The book of Revelations is what happens when you get some bad acid.

Seriously though people have been waiting for the world to end since history began, it hasn't yet. And unless man does something I doubt it will any time soon.
 
Revelation was fulfilled before 100AD. Tis about them Romans and sh!t. Of course people reading it with no knowledge of the writing style, politics, and events at the time will assume it to be prophetic in their time. Sadly this was so even in the early church and it is included in the Bible although there was a hell of a fight over it. Add to that this "revelation" was picked over others because it was a bit scarier. Got to keep the sheeple in line.............

Oooops....forgot that there is a scarier revelation but it provides an out after damnation.......that didn't fly with the early church

Its funny how people take the Bible so literal, every single thing illustrated and described is to be taken as real people/events instead of the moral lesson behind it. I would expect such ignorance from the average peasant back in time, but never would i have thought of this to be occuring in the 21st century.
