Anti-W33D

So, what's your point?

I have never really understood why people use marijuana or alcohol. Why would you want to use something that alters your mental state of mind, even if it does "feel" good?

Prolly due to the relaxing of the anti-marijuana stance in other countries.

I used to believe stoners were just kids in high school too stupid enough to understand why drugs were bad for you. Then I graduated and saw true examples of the moronic narcotic masses, who flock to the idea that drugs are a form of enlightenment.

Our Morgues and Emergency Rooms fill daily with the enlightened. Dont believe me? Go down to your local hospital and see for yourself.

Sorry, but potheads aren't generally found in hostpitals. And weed isn't a narcotic.

Exactly.

Actually, now that I think of it, when I went to the hospital the other day, the ER was full of crazy @ss potheads running around trying to cut themselves with razors and they were attempting to smoke the plants they had in the waiting room. They were all gathered around it with a lighter and a crazed look on their face.....scary stuff!

It's interesting. It opens your mind to things you would never think of otherwise. Instead of asking why, why don't you try and find out? If you don't try it, no one can explain it to you in a way that you will truly understand. If you refuse to try it... well then, what's the point of asking, if you're close minded anyways?

That gets my goat too,.........
people that have been programmed to spout the 'all drugs are evil' rhetoric
and have never even given it a try.....

They're called hard and soft for a very good reason.

Your unsupported assumption here is that altering your state of mind is always a bad thing.

Can I assume from your post that you have little to no personal (not second hand) experience with either marijuana or alcohol? If so, then once you have had the opportunity to experience these in favorable settings, you will then gain that understanding.

Actually the high estimate for drug related deaths per year in the USA has been put at below 15,000, however this can in no way indicate the long term after effects of drugs because these numbers are only related to drug overdoses.

What was the number for smoking? 400,000?

JEEZ, and the drug related deaths are the one that are going to jump out at you?

Alcohol and other mood-altering drugs have accompanied virtually every documented civilization. For better or worse, many people like something to take the edge off from time to time . . .

I'm trying to figure out if you're serious. If you are, could you gimme an example of a brilliant idea marijuana gave you? K, I came across a little sarcastic, but I really am curious if it gives you ideas as I was under the impression that it just makes you hungry and trippy-weird colors go flying around you.
