i have tried Mcafee and Norton.... i dont want something which hogs my resources and does funny things to my puter - do u guys have any good Antivirus suggestions ????

Every virus scanner out there hogs your resources, at least as far as I know. I just run a once daily virus scan around 4am, that way I don't have to have the thing running while I'm on and I don't get infected. If you don't leave the computer on all day, then that might not be much of a solution.
