Haha, I spotted a few variations of this today. The most common were margaritas and horchada. 😀This was my favorite sign of the day.

Truth be told, I’m pretty sure I saw more anti-ICE signs than “no kings” signs.
What also works:Protests work.. don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
The scary thing would be if they dwindle.. and the population starts accepting but if enough people show up..
I live in a somewhat conservative suburb around Houston. The No Kings protest here was threatened with violence by local conservatives. Strangely enough the protest was moved nearer to the local police station and the police were out in force. They stated they had a right to protest and no violence would be accepted from anyone.
From the pics I saw it seemed well attended and no reports of violence I’ve seen yet.
How long before there's a movement to defund them?Apparently LAPD didn't get that memo.
They assaulted the peaceful demonstration in LA with rubber bullets and tear gas.
Defunding the police is so 2020.How long before there's a movement to defund them?
Estimates today 5 million protestors showed up for No Kings across the country including 100,000 in Philadelphia where I attendedAll the pics I’ve seen don’t look very impressive. The protests during trumps first term were impressive. Can we call it a bust?

Impressive enough?

No Kings Day attendance: Over 5 million turned out across US, organizers say
Those millions included an estimated 200,000 people in Los Angeles, 100,000 in Philadelphia, 70,000 in Seattle and over 50,000 in New York.www.fox32chicago.com
Five million is an impressive number. Do you think it will have any effect on policy?Estimates today 5 million protestors showed up for No Kings across the country including 100,000 in Philadelphia where I attended

If people took the attitude protests will change nothing the Civil Rights movement would not have been successfulFive million is an impressive number. Do you think it will have any effect on policy?
That's sort of an answer. If people took the attitude protests will change nothing the Civil Rights movement would not have been successful
Based on history what makes you think that this could happen especially the second. Even if Dems take the House the Senate are cowards. If a Republican fails to convict, they know people like you would re-elect them anyway. That's sort of an answer.
It's been my experience that protests against policy tend to have a greater effect than protests against an individual. While I understand the angst people are feeling, Trump has at least a year and a half before any real action can be taken against him. Assuming the midterms turn out to be the expected bloodbath for the republican's, Trump will almost certainly be impeached and convicted at that time.

Trump can't be re-elected without a change to the constitution, and that isn't going to happen.Based on history what makes you think that this could happen especially the second. The policies people are protesting were well articulated at the protests not just anti-Trump
Impeachment would require several Republican votes in the Senate.Trump can't be re-elected without a change to the constitution, and that isn't going to happen.
If the mid terms don't give the democrats the votes to impeach him then he'll finish out his term and fade off into the sunset.
It's cute that you think rules that are written down are somehow self-enforcing. It's clear from the actions of the Trump administration, that they are happy to ignore all the rules and do what they want until someone tries to tell them otherwise.Trump can't be re-elected without a change to the constitution, and that isn't going to happen.

Trump also couldn't remain president after losing the 2020 election according to the Constitution but that did not prevent him from attempting a coup.Trump can't be re-elected without a change to the constitution, and that isn't going to happen.
I remember people saying that in November and December 2020, that he would leave peacefully. Turns out that was 100% wrong. If the mid terms don't give the democrats the votes to impeach him then he'll finish out his term and fade off into the sunset.
