Anti-Static Braclet

Hi,

I found an old Anti-Static braclet the other day ,but it didn't have the normal aligator clip. It had a end that looks similar to one that would go in an Sound Jack. What I was wondering is what does it go in to. And could I just shove it in the grates of my power supply or tape it to the case?
