I tend to be middle-of-the line on abortion, as I've probably mentioned in the past. Logically, I think it should be completely legal, but I don't think federal funds should be used to pay for or subsidize them (the libertarian perspective, with a few twists).

However, I think this is outright absurd. You aren't going to influence girls to reduce the amount of abortions they get over time by airing sensitive pictures on national television. If you outlaw it, as the past has proven, back door abortions will become more common again.

I don't know much about this guy. Does he have a chance of winning, or is this a publicity stunt?

didn't they do that last year too? featuring a football player raised my a single mom or some...

I am totally against it, I feel abortion should be encouraged. I remember a news from a few days back where close to 90 high school student in the same school were or have been pregnant during the last few months... i wonder what will become of those babies... its sad...

"My base is those who know that we must show Americans the victims of abortion, in order to restore the full protection of law to unborn babies."

I would love to know what protection of law is he referring to. Don't recall the law considering you a person until you are born...

I think common sense and education would have been more important in deterring that kind of behavior, rather than giving them a free pass for fucking up.

its not a free pass, any any woman how has gone through it, it takes a very heavy physical and mental toll, including the risk of not being able to have a baby ever again

The horses are already out of that stable.

But hey, you want 90 kids, I'm sure they'll give 'em to ya.

The pregnant girls' parents should be held liable and required to take care of them.

We all know what will really happen, though. THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Welfare.

What is needed is to educate people on not making stupid choices. Don't have kids you can't support. Comdoms and birth control are free at thousands of clinics around the country. If you want to have sex, don't be a fucking moron.

So, someone that appears to be pretty socially conservative wants to challenge Obama for the Democratic nomination? Something tells me he won't get anywhere. Also, I don't think the Superbowl will sell him airtime. I remember last year people were surprised they allowed the Tebow commercial because the Superbowl tries to avoid being political.

I should also note that based on what the OP said I'm not sure he realizes there are already laws in place that make it illegal for the federal government to fund or subsidize abortions. The George W Bush executive order that Obama reversed had made it illegal for any group receiving federal funds to give information about abortion.

And why don't you mention anything about the boy involved? It does take two to tango last time I checked.

I am 100% against abortion, I believe it is an immoral act.

That being said, these people need to fuck off! I have my own opinions on morality but I don't try and push them on other people unless they want a debate with me about ethics, in which case I will argue my case.

I imagine that most of the girls probably don't know who the father is.

If they do, he (and his parents) should certainly be made to share in the care for the kid, either through time or money.

Eh, I wouldn't generalize like that. I know girls who have had multiple abortions who just don't give a crap and aren't emotionally affected.

So, let's just kill them. That's your answer?

It's mine.

Among other things, Terry has denounced homosexuality, infidelity, birth control, divorce and unwed mothers.

lol, did this guy just step out of the nineteenth century? Is burning witches at the stake part of his platform as well?

Randall Terry has about 1/10 as much of a chance of winning the Democrat primary as does my left nut, as my left nut holds no views antithetical to the Democrat primary voter and Randall Terry holds only such views. Unless the Democrat Party declines to the point that 10% of its primary voters can arrive in one minivan, he has no chance of being in any debates either. I also can't imagine he can raise the money for a Superbowl advert, so I'm assuming that even making such a claim is the publicity stunt. He probably knows that his advert, being composed of pictures of aborted babies, will never be accepted. The man in my opinion is a boil on the buttocks of society. An infected boil. With a hair growing out of it. An ugly, twisted little hair. Covered with germs. With a louse. And the louse has a disease.

And there is no such thing as a back door abortion; back door sex cannot get you pregnant. :D

What's your left nut's stance on abortion?

Why bother running ads when the places that most strongly support pro-choice are voluntarily culling their own numbers via abortion? For example, 40% of pregnancies in NYC now end in abortion, and 60% for black women:

Maybe blue states can depopulate themselves out of the gene pool altogether?

Another "force everyone to practice what I preach" candidate? I believe in a Creator endowed right to practice what ever you like, but not to make anyone else do as you do.

Terry has also announced his intention to try to air television ads showing aborted babies during the 2012 Super Bowl and throughout the primary season.

It'll never happen. Even if he had the money, which I doubt, it'll never happen. There's a long standing policy against these type adds. And personally I'm glad, why ruin a perfectly good Super Bowl with political ads.
