There was no mention of Christie in this thread until Perk trolled it in the following post:

The thread is about more than Weiner's lies. It has covered lying and ethical behavior by politicians, in general. Perk's post quoted loki8481 in the post you linked, and his reply was right on point in reference to loki8481's statement:

If his wife backs him he can survive. Looking at those FB posts kinda tough for her.

David Vitter is still in the Senate and Mark Sanford served out his term.

GOP will try to beat this to death as they should but all Dems have to say is, "if you call for Vitters resignation I'll do the same for Weiner.

Not exactly the craziest stuff? That's an understatement. Pictures of a clothed penis, shirtless male (way too buff for his age, but that's just an egg shaped guy's opinion), sex talk on his private phone and private computer, and lying to the press (I'm sure Weiner wasn't the only politician to do so).

I was watching Laurence O'Donnell and one of his guests came up with the best summary of wieinergate "This will go down in the annals of history as the sex scandal where one gave up the most for so little."

The Dem leadership has decided he is a liability and thrown him under the bus, so I stick by my prediction he'll resign soon.

Neither of them have been accused of publicly lying about their actions.

As we all know, it is the cover up that gets politicians in trouble, not the original sin.

That's for sure. It's such a stupid, stupid scandal to risk. Screwing up your marriage and career for phone/IM sex, that's the most worthless kind of "sex." If you're not going to touch it, I'm not going to risk it.
