antec vs lian-li case

I would get the Lian Li because I like the HDD trays better than the implementation in the Antec. Also, I'm not a fan of, ahem, fans in the side panel window.

I would go with the Lian Li because, from my experience, the build quality will be top-notch. I also prefer the aesthetics of the Lian li and its $20 cheaper.

I have a Lancool K-62 variant, loving the look & features so far 🙂 except that I got mine for $62 without tax which is quite splendid 😛

how come?

I've seen them both, and I think the LanCool is higher quality. The features are similar, but the LanCool just looks like it it's better built. I must confess I'm sort of a Lian Li fan. Prior to picking up my current case I used Lian Li cases for the last five years. The Antec probably has slightly better air flow though.

I have the K-58, which is the same darn thing as the K-62 minus the side panel, interior paint job and top fans. Great airflow/filtering, solidly built, flexible options, lots of room. (Frankly, it's the one part of my system I'm not even thinking of upgrading.)

the lian li has better build quality, but the 902 has much better airflow and cable management. even tho the lian li has better build quality, its not like the 902 is going to fall into pieces while just sitting by your desk. as long as you arent banging on it with a sledge hammer, it should last as long as the lancool.

I also like the K62, very well designed case. this case is just a well engineered case, every installation is tooless. but just beware that K62 is poor choice for water cooling which you might want in the future. Another caveat is the lack of side fan which means the gpu will heat up a bit higher than a case that has some side coolings. but beside that I must say this case is an impressive engineering marvel.

I've got the K62 as well. I don't like the included 140mm fans, too loud for my liking. Going to replace them with lower RPM one's. And the tool-less mechanism for the 5.25" bay doesn't hold the drive securely; had to use a screw. Otherwise I really like it. The tool-less locks for the PCI slots are probably the best out there.

You could also look at the HAF 912, HAF 922, and CM 690 II unless you've already ruled them out.

Lian-Li; the cooling benefits from the aluminum are very noticeable for me coming from an Antec. I love both case companies.

Antec is the Chevrolet of the computer chassis world.
Lian-Li is the Mercedes.

That said, both are excellent brands. I myself just bought a PC-9F and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

If you're going steel, it's probably a toss-up as far as quality goes. I've owned Antecs & a LanCool PC-K62 & they're good cases.
If you're talking aluminum, then definitely Lian Li. Not that i'm trying to plug the V1200B I have for sale or anything. 😉

That Lian Li is plastic, not aluminum. just built my daughter a new PC with this one:

It is really nice. Lots of room for wire routing, aluminum, quiet fans, couldn't have asked for more. There was a coupon at the time so it was around $75 with free shipping. More now.

Interior wasn't black though, but without the clear side window, what's the difference if it's silver or black.

The majority of it is steel. You linked a nice case.
