Finally got my system in my sig below moved over to my new Antec 1200! Loving it so far - much quieter than I expected! My temps all dropped around 5c coming from my P180 (also looks alot better). The wire management is great and the fans are all really quiet at LOW (which is all you need with 7 fans)
I apologize in advance for my bad photography - I had been drinking when I took them and didn't realize how blurry they were until I uploaded them today . But anyway - here is the link to the photos on Flickr:

I got it from Directron at $159.99 - not bad considering I paid $120.00 for my P180 on release day

Nice.

I'd avoid the 6 or so daisy-chained molexes, though. May just be my ignorance, but I'd think that's a problem waiting to happen. I mean, if something happens to that one line, all fans are out.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing while doing it - but these fans set to low do not require much power. Also, I gave them their own line on the PSU.

Technically all the wires end up in the same power brick anyway.

Nice build.

You think theres enough room in there to house a 3x 120mm Rad + everything else, with some modding of course.

But again, nice build

Thanks, This is by far the largest case that I have worked with besides servers and such. You could EASILY fit a triple 120 rad in this case, but I have no plans to go water. Its really not all that much bigger than my P180 - height is the only really big difference.

By the way - anybody interested in a p180 with all yate loon and nexus fans as well as a sunbeam rheobus?

Only the top 200mm fan has a swith for the LEDs - the rest are wired in like normal fans - but the top fan is really the only obtrusive leds on the case. The rest are pretty dim - you can always disconnect the leds on the fans if you hate them that bad - I've done it before

My current case is an Antec p182. I like my case a lot But im going to need more space. I like the design of the 1200 but my room is carpeted. The Antec 182 as with any case i use in my room tends to be a dust magnet. Im afraid the 1200 may draw in more dust than the 182 so thats why im may have to pass on the 1200

I have 900 myself but a friend wants to build a new gaming rig sometime later this year - possibly going Crossfire, is this a good case? I have an 8800 GTX and I can not use the middle hard drive caddy on the 900 because the card is so long - was this an issue in the 1200 ?

There is definately enough room to fit hard drives in the middle HD caddy with my 8800GTS 512, but you would probably comprimise airflow a bit. There is three hard drive sections that hold three hard drives each, so with a crossfire setup you could leave HD slots open directly next to the cards and still have 7 hard drive spots - this way the cards would still get some direct air flow.

Who has that many hard drives in a gaming rig anyway? I only have one 250GB in this case and my HTPC holds the others.

I am consdiering this case. How is the quality? Is it real solid, any rattle from screws etc., everything fit good?

Is it very loud?

Yes, it feels very solid and no rattles at all so far. The case itself is very quiet, but if you have a loud system this case will not stop much of that noise from escaping.

I have a very quiet system so my setup is about as loud as my P180 was. I currently have all the stock fans set to low with the big top fan on medium. All you can hear is the woosh of the air moving through the case which is about as loud as a wisper.

My ceiling fan on low is louder then my comp :moon:
