Antec True Blue 480

swap in a trupower480? I think that is the only way.

In other words just get a truepower480. LED PSU's are stupid... IMO

For most peoples uses they are, however, for people with clear cases, it can provide a bit style to a normally boring part.

Yeah, I've got a black case with blue led fans and the trueblue 480. Looks pretty damn cool to me. But, I'd like to know why k3nt bought an led psu and now wants them off? 😕

Probably wants to leave his PC on overnight and be able to sleep at the same time. Enough LEDs and you might have a tougher time falling asleep if you don't very easily to begin with. That could be it...

I'm glad I modded my case so my cold cathode switch is right above the power switch for easy access.

you are correct, armchair. leaving comp on overnight with LEDs on is definitely not cool.

btw I havent bought the psu. thinking about it, thats the reason for the post =)

So I just want to confirm... the trueblue 480W is the same as the Antec TruePower 480W in terms of performance/construction/quality? The only difference is the blue led?

just wire a potentiometer (adjustable resistor) in series with the positive lead of the LED's. THen when you increase the resistance it gets less current and you can dim or then them off. That's what i did with the ones on the front of my case.
