I just bought the Antec SX830 workstation case last night, and all I can say is WOW! I'm sure there are other better cases out there, but this has got to be the best case that I'VE ever seen. I was noticing my temps getting a little hot for my liking in my old case, so I was contemplating a new CPU HSF, or a new case. Damn am I glad I chose the case! My system temps are down a whole 10 degrees Celcius! Now, my CPU idles at 27 degrees Celcius...and that's with a meer Thermaltake Volcano II HSF and some Arctic Silver II! Also, my cpu temp hasn't gone over 37 degreec Celcius under load. As for my motherboard temp...it's at a rockin 22 degrees Celcius, and RARELY gets up to 24 degrees Celcius.

Ok, enough ranting right now, I'm just so psyched about my new case!

Bought it from CompUSA for $99.95, decided to get it from a local store incase anything was wrong, and also to save on the large shipping cost of such a heavy item.

The case came with the pp-303x 300w power supply and 2 80mm case fans in the rear (blowing out of the system). There are also 2 spots for 80mm case fans in the front of the case (to blow air into the system), and 1 80mm fan spot in the hidden drive bay, so you can blow nice cool air onto your hard drives :)

on a side note, this is also the best case i've ever worked with, as far as ease of component installation.

Can you comment on the loudness of the power supply & the case fans that come with it,I read they were pretty quiet?
Thanks,Toro:)

The power supply is fairly quiet, and the case fans are the quietest i've heard. Heh, I think all the noise from my case is comin from the Volcano II HSF :)

All in all, I don't notice any sound difference from switching from my old case (with only 1 80mm fan) to the Antec (now with 3 80mm fans...2 stock and 1 I added extra to the front).

I agree. Excellent case!

I got mine after X-Mas last year for something like 80 bucks plus free shipping from Buy.com. I dunno what they are running over there now though.. it's worth 150+ though IMHO.

This case is great..I just set mine up today. Bought mine from EMScomputing for $91 shipped. Does anyone know how to attach a dust filter on the fan so that it snaps into the fan holder?

Yep. Great case. Love mine too. Got it last week from Egghead for $94 shipped. My system temp increased about 4 deg with this case but my cpu temp has dropped from 45 deg under load to 39 deg. I guess it's the location of the probe on the board. Kinda heavy for porting it to lan partys but worth the effort.

I got mine from Directron with an Enermax 350w for $117 delivered (by UPS, but it lived). A great place, especially if you want more than 300w. I had a problem with the invoice and they fixed it right away. Do a web search on "directron" and "coupon" (or coupons) and see what you find. Then save 10 bucks by ordering on the weekend and having it shipped Tuesday (under discounts on their site, I think).
