Antec Super Lanboy
vs.
Lian-Li PC60

Is it worth to shell out the coupla extra bucks for the PC60? I don't really care about appereance that much...
for
90nm winchester 3500+ 64bit amd
Leadtek 6600GT
nforce4 sli (when comes out)

I don't know anything about the lian-li, but I can tell you if my house blew up in some major explosion that destroyed everything inside, the first thing I would buy again is an Antec Superlanboy case.

Love it.

I don't really like the Lanboy much because it doesn't have an intake fan filter or optical drive rails...
Is it noisy, since the air intake is open?

I'd go with the Lian-Li case over the Antec in less than a heartbeat... Of course, I'd also be willing to spend the extra cabbage to get a more advanced design case. Build the computer to last a long time, and it will at least last a decent amount of time. From what I've seen of the Antec case, it's made with cheap plastic and thin aluminum. Neither belong on a serious case.

any good psu will go with the PC60. I have both cases, and the lianli is definately better quality. The aluminum is thick, and has a nicer brushed look. Only minus to the LianLi is lack of 120mm fans.

Another vote for the lanboy. Contrary to a previous post, it feels very well designed and not cheap at all. I will go into my experience with it but I should mention I have ZERO experience with a Lian-Li, they were/are too expensive for me.

The lanboy has great cooling and even with the open grill in front, is pretty quiet (a little louder than the Sonota, but not by much). That same grill allows a TON of air flow into the case, so mine stays extremely cool (46 c under load with an anemic CPU fan and A XP 2500 @ 3200+)

I love the hard drive rubber pads as well as orientation, allows you to hide the cables and keeps the drives super quiet. The style turns heads, though from what I can tell is not as professional looking as a lian-li.

I have been running this case for a month now and it has easily been the best I have ever used/had experience with. I love the style, function, saftey (all rounded edges, no cut hands in this case) and the price. I have no doubt the Lian-Li's are awesome cases, but for the money I love my lanboy.

Thanks. I am definetly going for Lian-Li. I guess i'll go look for a psu now.

Get a psu with @ least 22-24 amps on the +12 volt rail. Antec, Vantec, Enermax, and PC Power and Cooling make 'good' psu's.

i'm voting for the lanboy. it's a very quiet case. also, intake fan filters decrease air flow and many cases dont even utilize it.
