I bought this @CompUSA like a month ago. It's great for RAM cooling, but it takes more room than what it looks, so if your main HSF (for CPU) is big, it'd be a bit tricky to fit for optimal airflow. But it shouldn't be a big problem. Noise-wise, it's not too loud and you can control the fan speed if need be.
I was gonna say a zalman or sunbeam universal bracket would allow the use of any fan just about wherever you need it. And all the author's whining about the short power cord was absurd - a reader might get the impression he's a moron (or perhaps just inexperienced) when fan extensions are so widely available.
