Ok, I just bought the last Sunbeam fan controller at NCIX. Not bad, does the job. I like how it comes with some convertor cables too. Only complaint is that one of the screw holes wasn't drilled properly so the screw didn't fit. Had to use a bigger screw, but yeah :)

All my lights are red... but fans spinning!

What I like is how I can bump up the exhaust fan a very small amount and temps go down. By the way is it safe to put a pencil or something in ps fan to stop it, and then turn the box on (just for like 5 seconds). Just want to see how much of that noise I am hearing is fan noise. And how much is the cpu and other stuff.

i've done that before, should be fine. my psu fans are connected to my controller. if you do decide to open the psu, make sure to look up directions on how to safely discharge a psu, and don't touch the capacitors and stuff inside. i just quickly snip the fan wires and use crimp connectors to connect to a wire to the controller, use an old fan cable or whatever.. or you can buy connectors too.

That's fine. I've also done that. It's best to do that before the fan turns on so you don't risk breaking your fan when it's spinning.

yes, you'll soon find out that most your remaining noise is hd noise... well that and psu.
