I've been looking for a good case/psu combonation in the $100 range, and right now this one seems to be best. However, needing to open the front of the case just to turn the computer on seems like it would become an annoynce, especially in a room that's practically the computer equivilent to a full parking lot. Is there a way to take the front door off without messing up any chances of putting it back on? Thanks.

I think if you rip these doors off it's a bit hard to put them back on; try to look for the variant of that case that has no door. (Or is this another Antec I'm thinking of and confusing it with?)

What kind are you looking at? this style?

I have a chieftec matrix series and it's really easy to take the door off. If it's the same mechanism it's no problem at all to get on or off.

Yes, that's the case. Both of those cases are practically the same aside from the grill-like front, so hopefully it's the same mechanism. Thanks!

no problem.

Have you looked into options that don't have a door to start with? If you don't intend to ever use the door, those models look a bit cleaner than the door models with the door off.

I have the antec 1040 and its been solid as a rock. It is however a large heavy case, make sure thats what you want before ordering this one. The 400 wat smart power PSU this comes with has been very stabile for me.

Yeah, if you want a case that you can sit on, this is the one. If you want something that's not a tank, I think the aluminum ones are a nice option if you still want the space.

I dropped mine out of a van once. It was in the back area and it ended up leaning against the tailgate by the time we got the the destination. I opened it up and it filpped over and landed on the concrete driveway. The only thing that needed replacing was the front panel (since it was plastic). It used to be plain black but I ordered a matrix front for it since they were the same price for replacements.
