Hi There,
My father has a PC I was going to upgrade. I have an old AM2+ Board sitting around upgraded to latest bios and it does support the 965. It has the 780g chipset on it with onboard 3200 graphics. I also have a 4GB DDR2 kit here.
He has a old PC I built for him years ago. Its a Athlon 2500+ with 2GB Ram.
Its case is a Sonata, and is using a SmartPower 350w Power supply with a 12 volt rail at 21 amps.
This computer will use onboard video, sound and LAN. It will have 2 case fans and 2 hard drives and 1 DVD Burner.
I was going to put the 780g motherboard and ram with my Current 965 in his PC for him and upgrade (if you can call it that) to a 1090t. I'd like to play with the 6 cores.
Would the 350w be enough?
I do have a 700w modxsteam ocz not in use, but I'd prefer to keep for backup purposes to be honest.
