Antec SmartPower 350W Power Supply. $9.99 AR.

whether or not its enough power, thats a hot deal for a quality PSU.

Seems like frys is starting to do alot more rebates as of late. Anyone know how responsive they are in terms of rebates?

I did the ultra deal and got my rebate about a week after sending it in

Also they have a 500w in their for 49.99 after instant saving

$5 price drop since yesterday. Anyone know outpost/fry's price matching/adjustment policy for those of us who ordered before the price drop?

The link to that thread doesn't really apply. It's almost 4 years old and people are using like 2 hard drives and radeon 7000's with athlon xps. Today with x1900's and 7900's along with dual core it's a different story.

You don't want it running much more than a 70% load, so even if all your components add up to say 320w, you would still be much safer with a 500w psu at 70% than a 350w at 90%.

350 would do for a modern system with midrange vga and a few drives.

$10 for a brand name psu is still great though.

That really is a great deal on a PS...I actually owned a few of these a year or so ago and NEVER had an issue. But rebates....man, how I hate those things....

nvidia 6800 ultra uses 72W peak doing intensive 3D.
nvidia 7900 GT uses 48W peak doing intensive 3D.

amd cpu's have always been around 89W peak power consumption.
intel cpu's power consumptions have dropped dramatically with the core 2 duos.

granted the newer ati video cards suck up juice like there's no tomorrow, but generally I tell my non-techie friends not to believe the W hype, just like I told them not to believe the MHz hype.

My 3+ year old Truepower 330 runs an Athlon 64 FX-55, ATI X800XT PE, 2 GB, an 80, 200, and another 200 GB drives, floppy/card reader, TV tuner, USB/firewire card, and 4 120mm fans. Rock solid.

And the thread at SPCR has the latest systems as well, it requires going to the end of the thread however.

Great find OP.
