Good price, but not a burning HOT deal as it can be had for $75- $79 shipped at other stores.

BTW, I discovered Newegg has an Athena AD4 power converter, molex -> EPS12v for motherboards like the ASUS PC-DL. Nice to know, but $10.99 shipped. :(

Holy cow, VERY NICE DEAL OP. This hands-down kills those crappy OCZ and UltraX PSU's with the X-Connect crap they ripped off from Antec. I mean what can you expect, they're made by the same people who make Powmax.

I'm pretty sure x-connect came out first with their modular design then Antec

i'd jump on this if I needed a psu, don't mess around with too many other brands, psu's are not to be messed with, just get a really nice one, set it and forget it, great price

The specs indicate SmartPower helps reduce power consumption by 25%...probably some monitoring circuitry to reduce consumption when there isn't much draw from components.

I happened to need a PSU and did jump on this. $69 shipped for a name-brand, high quality power supply is nothing to sneeze at...the modular design and 3-year warranty is sure nice, too.

WRONG...Ultra X-Connect are Youngyear PS and NOT Powmax. Actually, I came across a list of recommended power supply vendors for "AMD Athlon? MP Processor Desktop Power Supply Solutions" and Youngyear was included in the list. I thought it interesting since it seems quite a few peps on various boards bash Ultra and/or Youngyear power supplies.
