I am looking for a new case and PS to go with my now ordered system. I really like the specs and setup of the ANTEC SLK3700 and its 350W PS. The only problem I have with it is that it has a door, and I just really don't like doors on my cases. Does anyone who has this case know if the door can be removed easily? Does it look, well, funny with the door off? As a secondary option is there anywhere I can get an Antec SX630II either without a PS or with better than the standard 300W PS?

I really love the door on my SLK3700... It's easy to remove doesnt take that much space. You just press on two buttons and voila ...
It's an excellent case with really good cooling ...
man two 120mm fans in this case is really good ...
there's only one 120mm fan that comes with the case ... but it's very good quality and near silent ...
As for the PSU... it's really quiet ...

The installation is extremely easy ...
Anyways ... for the money ... this is one of the best cases there is....
the only prob i have with it is that i can't seem to be able to install the USB ports on the front ... i think it's cuz they're USB1.1 and not 2.0.

Thanks... I really like the specs on the case and it seems like a really solid enclosure. If I can just take off the door if it drives me nuts then I guess that is what I will have to do. Anyone else have experiences with this case they can share?

I think he was talking about the door to gain access to the external drive bays, not the entire front panel. Anyways, the door is very easy to break off, mine broke the first day I got it.

Why don't you get the same exact case without a door. It'savailable in white or (true) black.

The "real" SLK3700 looks funny (to me) without the door. The bezel to the case I linked above is designed without a door so it looks just like a regular (doorless) case.

Yeah, it's gonna look like crap if you take the door off. You know, I didn't like the idea of the door at first either but there are benefits to it. It really cuts the noise from your CD-ROM drives a ton, so if you are going for a quiet computer I think a door is essential. And I don't worry about color-coding my drives to the case since the door is closed most of the time.
