What's more important, silence or brute force cooling?

Apples and oranges. If a person has developed his/her requirements properly, those cases should not appear on the same short list. Either a requirements list wasn't made, or some irrational criteria was used. Stackers are generally for extreme systems, p series cases are not.

Yes, you should list your goals. If you want quiet, it's difficult to do better for the money with a P182.

Ok poll is up. BTW here's an overview of my system. 8800gts 512MB, Asus P5E X38, Corsair 620HX, WD 640GB HD, G.Skill 2x2GB 1000MHz, Tuniq Tower Heatsink, E8400. So its mostly a gaming rig.

money isn't that big of an issue as I have a lot saved up. I want an easy case to work with that looks nice as well. I've heard mixed things about the Antec case as it is hard to work with and the stacker is very easy to work with.

If money's no object, go with the Stacker...IF you like it.
Just make sure you read up & study all you can about the cases you REALLY like, then go from there. Make a list of all the good & bad points of all the cases you like, then find yourself a winner.

Gaming rig <> p series.

My opinion, of course. p series can be forced to comply...

Whats the easier of the two to work with

The one problem many people have with the P182 is the 8-pin EPS power cable from the PSU is not long enough to reach the plug in on the mobo. You will not have that problem with the Stacker.

Yes and not very sturdy.

Granted I've had to replace one of the side panels once and the chassis was slightly bent (easily repairable) the (then P180) was completely destroyed after a single fall. So if you throw your machine around the stacker protects the guts more.

Just cosmetics I believe - black anodized finish and a slotted door instead of mesh cutout.

I didn't have that problem using that case, the HX520 & the IP35-E, but when I switched to the MSI P35 Neo2-FR, I had to buy an extension for the 8-pin EPS power cable.
