It also heats up my room by at least 10 degrees... would a cooler case prevent that?

A cooler case will not change that. Your system is generating a set amount of heat, and that heat has to be expelled. The only thing that can be varied is the noise doing it, and how efficiently it can be done(e.g. how cool can you make the inside of your case).
 
Look in the Cases and Cooling Forum and you'll find quite a few people with the P180.
