Antec or Sparkle PSU?

I have a Sparkle that works with no problems but I am getting a Antec in a deal which I will prob throw in a family members PC. Should I keep the Antec or Sparkle? Or does it really matter? Both are 300watts.
 
My personal prefernce is Sparkle. For the same reason that some people prefer Antecs, just good past experiences with them. They're both great PS's, so either way you cant go wrong. 🙂

unless it lands perpendicular to the ground. then just send both psu's to me for further testing.
 
either is good. i'd prefer the sparkle because the 350 watt one i have has pots to adjust the 12 and 5 volt line, my antec 300 watt one doesn't.
 
This is hard. Antec has quieter fans, Sparkle has adjustble pots. The newer Antec's have dual fans while Sparkle is just one, heavy PSU with massive heatsinks and more 'guts'.
 
In my experience Sparkle's last forever. I have yet to have one fail. I still have the Sparkle that was powering my Pentium 75.
 
If the Sparkle you have works great for you now, don't create more work for yourself, just leave it in and give the Antec to me.. I mean to your relative.
 
I heard Sparkle PSU's have adjustable pots. Is that just on the 350w? Plus, what are pots? My old electrical engineer roomy died last year. I learned a lot but not that. Will any 300w from Sparkle, Enermax, or Antec be enough to power a GF4 ti4400??? Thanks for any comment on this, seeing how this isn't my thread.

pots = potentiometers, adjustable resistors. they can help vary the voltage on your 12 or 5 volt lines to get that extra juice out of your system in case you have a power hungry cpu, or bad power regulation on your mainboard. 300 watts should be enough to power what you mentioned.
 
I think unless you are going to use multiple processors or run your air conditioner from your power supply 300W to 400W is plenty. I am using an Antec TruePower 330W in my current rig without a problem - no GeForce4 Ti 4600 though. 🙁

If you have a brand you are satisfied with - no need to switch, although the Antec does have dual fans! 😎
