Antec NSK3480 micro ATX case with EarthWatts 380W power supply
$44.99 plus shipping

Shipping to me was around $10. Same case at Newegg is $100 plus $22 shipping to me. This is an excellent quality case with phenominal airflow and a PSU that's powerful enough for any video card that doesn't need more than one PCIe 6 pin plug.

Wow.. I was just looking at these last night. Nice. 🙂

For those of you that had this case, is it wide enough to install one of those gigantic passive VGA heatsinks like Accelero's?

Thanks Zap!

Hot deal. In for 1. Been looking for a small case with 120mm fan.

Currently $99 at the egg with tons of positive reviews. Even the cheap HEC cases at the egg are $60 after shipping. And they come with some super generic power supply.

Mine came to $55.01 shipped.

You all are welcome. I've had one of these before, and am thinking of snagging another one.

Besides the excellent quality and superbe airflow, remember these come with a Seasonic made EA380 PSU.

Yes. The case is really short and not deep, but is kind of wide. It should fit the Accelero and even tower heatsinks. Think about it... you have at least the space of a 120mm fan and the I/O shield. Also, for those interested, this case will fit big video cards like the GTX 280.

Cool, thx again. I ended up ordering 2 - just need to intercept them when they come in before my wife sees them.. Lol. Came out to $106 shipped for both - what it would've costed me to get 1 shipped from the 'egg (I get charged tax from them). 🙂

This really sealed the deal for me as well. So hard to get cases with quality PSU's anymore.

Thinking of replacing my wife's machine in the bedroom which she tends to leave it on all the time. Going to try to replace it with the Antec case and passive heatsinks on E7300 & 8800GS with just the 120mm fan in the back running (might swap it with an orange Yate Loon).

Thanks Zap. Going to file this away for a possible build in the near future -- likely for my Dad. mATX is perfect for him.

I got one just to hold on to. I'd like to build a small system some time, and this case looks perfect. Thanks Zap :^)

Y'all are welcome. I also ordered two. Actually, tried ordering around 4am but it wouldn't go through with a credit card problem, though an order with Newegg for a Lian Li Lancool (on sale for $76 plus $22 shipping) ran through fine. This afternoon it took my order fine. Silly Frys.com site.

I've been using one of these for about a year. This is a very good case/PSU combo, large or small.
Excellent air flow, great build quality.

I've had 5-6 cases that cost at least twice as much that were nowhere near as good.

Received mine today. My impressions.........

Nice looking little case. Pretty heavy for it's size. But I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed with mine the interior design is whacked! There, I said it. I had one hell of a time getting my Foxconn A7GM-S configured properly in this case.

For starters. The divided compartment might be good for cooling but it sucks for usability. Running the power wires through the compartment hole was frustrating and annoying. Especially when you are adding a second hard drive and a DVD Burner in the top compartment. The ATX power cable that powers the motherboard was too short to reach in it's standard config and that is with the Foxconn board that has a well placed connector. I had to turn the power supply upside down in order for the wire exit to be closer to the compartment hole. The hard drive mounting brackets were odd and difficult to work with. I did lose a PCI slot due to the bottom mounted drive and once mounted, acces to the USB headers and anythign else on the lower half of the board was difficult.

After putting the second hard drive in and using my short Lite-On 20X burner there was practically no room to stuff the remaining power supply leads and I feel they are packed in too tightly near the power supply fan intake. I'm concnered about keeping the power supply cool.

A few good things I like about the case is that it definately is quiet. Even with the stock 120mm fan running on the low setting my case temp is lower than they were in my old cheifmax case. But the cheifmax was a dream to work in and use. I could install the drives, board, and all the cabling in a half hour or so. Transfering my parts from the cheifmax to this antec case too me a couple of hours at least. It's just not a user friendly case.

Now that it's up and running it seems to be working great, but I just hope I don't have to go replacing parts and things otherwise I'll be pissed off.

I was able to power a TA780G mobo, 4850e @ 3.2ghz with 1.45v, 2x 1gb DDR2 @ 1066mhz with 2.15v, 9600GT OC, 2 SATA 2 HDD's, 5 fans, 2 DVD burners and a floppy drive and front panel card reader with one of these PSU's with no probs 🙂

Let me know how the setup of yours goes. Are you having issues with cable lengths? Also, how are you managing the leftover wires in the top compartment of the case? I have a short length Lite-on DVD-R and there is about 1 inch of space between the PS and the DVD. If I didn't have a second hard drive mounted in the top I'd stuff the cords underneith the DVD unit. But with the second drive it's nearly impossible. I guess thats the price you pay for the small footprint, but I'm a little worried my PS might not get enough fresh air.

On a side note, the case runs very cool and quiet. Can't complain about that at all.

I use lots of cable ties and bundle all of the power supply wires into one long "trunk" with various connectors branching off of it. The unused connectors end up at the bottom of the case next to the motherboard tray (they take up less room than you might think), and the space between the PSU and the DVD drive is clear (except for the trunk and the drive cables). I run the "trunk" right next to the front edge of the motherboard right up against the motherboard tray. There's plenty of room for the drive cables. I also bundle all of the wires for the front panel connectors and USB cables and push them next to the motherboard tray. I end up with a neatly organized case and lots of unimpeded air flow.
