Antec Neopower

I've got a neoHE 550w I've been using for about a month now. I like it, very solid voltage levels(cpu voltage only goes down .012 when under load), all the cables are sleeved, and its quiet. I don't think the fan hardly ever turns on since I'm using a p180 case that has a seperate PSU chamber with a 120mm fan right in front of it.

Pony up to the Corsair 520HX. It's $120AR at the Egg, it might Froogle cheaper.
Liberties are known to flash-bang under heavy load. The NeoHE units are built by Seasonic but to Antec's low price point.
The Corsair is just a M-12 Seasonic w/o the aux 60mm fan at the front.

That is why I didn't get a liberty, I kept reading here and there about that happening. Glad I got the corsair

You can detatch the 4 pins on the corsair to make the main power connector 20 pin, correct?

yes

Question is, why would you need this powerful a PSU on a system that only uses a 20-pin mobo connector? 😉

I have the Enermax Liberty, been running it for about a year now. It's quiet while running, and I haven't had any problems with it (then again, I'm not running anything really taxing; a few hard drives and optical drives and an old ATI x800, so I don't know if more draw would cause it to malfunction as has been stated). It does make an odd noise when you start it up ("Zzzzapop") but that's about it. I was a little disappointed with the modular cabling it comes with, though; not enough Molex connectors for me.
