Lowest price in the past was $35, but $40 is still way HOT! This is basically a Seasonic S12-II or something like that. Basic 80Plus certified so not the most efficient. However, build quality should be excellent and power output quality is nice too. As an added bonus this PSU is really short, so it fits in cramped cases like the Silverstone TJ08 and Antec NSK3480. It has enough juice to power any single CPU with any single GPU.

Yep, keep your old power cord. I've also had one of these for a year and it's been great.

It allowed me to skimp on a PSU without really skimping.

Pretty much the best PSU under $80. Kinda makes me giggle when people go for the Corsair TX650 over this even though it costs a lot more. If you can go a bit over $100, then go for the Corsair TX750 V2. The Corsair TX650 V2 sucks at its current price. Only $15 cheaper than the TX750 V2 and you lose a lot of important features.
