also some bundle offers on bare drives on the same page, decent deal on the MX-1 seeing how newegg has it for over $50...

these are really good. the last time they were low priced i thought for sure they were clearing them out for a new model.. but i guess i was wrong since they havent released a new on yet 😛

Yeah, but Amazon.com has free shipping and no tax for most. Unless you live in NY, LOL.

this thing is garbage. I bought the first one from frys on their deal about a month or two ago. 1st one was DOA. Second one gace intermittent power due to the garbage power connector. I took the second one back and am still looking for a quality enclousre.

I already have 2 of these, one for my PC that I use for backups, and one for my Directv DVR.
They are quality units, and at this price, I may get another.

tried the mx-1 about a year ago and the fan was quite noisy...i think i later read on some forum that they changed the fans at some point in these and the newer units were noisier

ymmv, but i ended up returning the mx-1 and getting an apricorn ez bus

so far so good...i have mine laying flat as it was noisier if upright, but that could just be my hard drive (WD 500GB)

peace

I have one of these and love, got it at amazon to(gotta love prime) I couldn't be happier with it. Its quiet and has not given me any problems. I couldn't imagine dealing with a USB enclosure. The one thing I would change is to get rid of the LED.
