No, most are ATX, although there's certainly much great variety than ever before.
Micro ATX leaves you with 4 expansion (PCI-e, PCI) slots compared to the 6-7 on most ATX boards. Oftentimes they have fewer RAM slots and other ports (SATA, USB) as well, but I'd say for the average user/system MicroATX is fine.
Couple it with
this and you've got the foundation for a solid system for a low price (~120 shipped). It'd be great for gaming (small size for LANs).
