Antec Lanboy Intake?

I love my lanboy because it's small and I can take it all over the place. The problem is it only has 1 80mm intake fan in the front that's got more guards than the queen of england in front of it.

Is there a way I can use one of my open 5.25" drive bays to take some ari into it? I was looking at some of the hard drive bay coolers and thought perhaps I could just fit one without a drive behind it, but they're not as open for airflow on the inside as I would like.

I would really like to find a 5.25" slot conversion that would just blow in a good ammount of fresh air. Sound is a non issue here really as it is in the same room as my 75gal and 29gal aquariums and they are already nature's own noise makers. Thanks in advance.

How about this $20 device? It converts two of your three 5¼" bays into three 3½" HDD bays (which can be left empty) and comes with an 80mm fan in front. Won't do much for your video card (get a slot cooler for that) but may help your CPU and PSU.

Same thing... just a little less, with an LED too!

That won't work because the original LANboy, IIRC, had only 3x 5¼" bays and the one you linked takes up all three, meaning no room for optical drives.

I have a similar case, and i agree the intake is very poor with so much restriction for 80mm fan in comparsion with the 120 out, and i used 2 of the 3 5.25 drives already, so i cant use any of the 2 devices mentioned above. but i'm not use any of the two 3.5 bay, so i took out the 2 covers and zip tied a 80mm fan behind it, it improves airflow greatly, but it looks very ugly

Perhaps you can make some kind of custom grill for it? Use some Modder's Mesh and easily bend it into a custom grill that will look and work great.

I think exhausts are more important.. but the Lanboy fails there too cuz there are no passive exhaust vents..

To counter that u may want to go the modding route and play with the plastic transparent cover.. design some slits into it for passive airflow.. as long as u'r exhaust is efficient and u have some way of letting air in, there will be sufficient intake.. even if it means using those passive slots..
